How does Coachability work?
Coachability is a service that connects athletes with private coaches. Coaches across the UK use Coachability to build, market, and manage their private coaching business. Coachability provides online tools to make it easy for coaches to book, schedule, and receive payment for private training sessions. We encourage highly successful athletes and experienced coaches who want to be mentors, coaches, and positive influences to sign up with Coachability.

How do I become a Coachability Coach?
If you’re interested in becoming a Coachability Coach, please visit our application page — the sign-up process is quick and easy.
After you submit your application, our team will take a close look at it. Once your application has been reviewed, you’ll receive an email message letting you know either that your profile has been approved, or that we need more information before we can approve it. The approval message will give you instructions for signing into your account and setting up a great profile. Of course, we cannot accept applicants whose coaching experience falls short of our standards.

How do I contact customer support?

How do I set my availability?
It's important to keep your availability up to date so that your potential clients know when you will be able to train with them. You can set your availability from the "Availability" tab in your Dashboard.
Why provide Specific Availability? Clients are more likely to book sessions when they know your schedule is compatible with theirs. Coaches who provide specific availability appear higher in our search rankings.
What if I don't know my availability for a certain day?
No worries! It's ok if you don't know your available hours for every day; just skip the days you aren't sure about and update as much as you can.
How do I set my training locations?
Coachability will use your Training Locations or Travel Distance (if you’re flexible on where you train) to power our search results: If you have specific training location at which you typically train: You can add that location and we’ll display the locations on your profile (alongside a nice map). We’ll send you clients who can travel to your location to train. To add locations, visit the “Profile” tab of your dashboard and scroll down to the “Training Locations” section. Choose your training location from the auto-suggestion list that appears when you begin typing.
Changing my price and adding different packages?
To set your pricing and session length, go to the "Pricing" tab in your Coachability account. From here you will be able to view all your current packages. To create a new type of package, simply tick the box of any package you wish to offer. Set the length of time (60, 90 or 120 minutes) Add the following details to complete your package: Name the package (ex: Trial Package, Elite Package, Group Package, Online Training, etc.) Enter a description (include information about what the package will entail, how many athletes can join the package, etc.) Set your package length (minutes, hours, days, weeks) Set the number of sessions in your package Set the max number of athletes who can register for the package Set the rate of the package (keep in mind, if the client is booking a package with you for the first time, a $19.99 Placement fee will also be charged to your client) Select whether the package is for in-person training or virtual training If you offer virtual training, you will appear in search results across the country to athletes searching for virtual coaching

What is Coachability's policy for client cancelations?
Coachability protects you with a 24-hour cancellation policy in case a client does not show up for a scheduled session. You have the option to mark the session complete so that you will still be paid for the time you've set aside. This policy is to be implemented at your discretion; we encourage you to use your judgement depending on your client's circumstance. If a client is not present at the beginning of the session, call to check on his/her status. If a client is just running late, utilise the remaining time in the session to the best of your ability. If a client does not show up at all, we recommend you reach out to him/her to discuss the reason for missing the session and attempt to reschedule it. Be sure to schedule your sessions in advance through Coachability. That way, if your client is a no-show, we'll have a record of when the session was supposed to take place.
Can I cancel my Coachability account?
We'd hate to see you go, but you may cancel your Coachability account at any time by contacting us at email@example.com. If you're just temporarily unavailable to provide coaching sessions to new clients and want to hide your profile from the search results, we'd recommend setting your availability as unavailable in your dashboard. When we cancel your account, you'll no longer appear to clients in the Coachability search results, and you will no longer have access to your account. If you ever wish to rejoin Coachability, you can contact us, and we'll be able to reactivate your account.
Business Management & Payment Processing
Are there any fees to be a Coachability Coach?
There is no sign up fee, no joining fee, no membership fee and absolutely no monthly subscription. Coachability does however take a 20% commission from each booking. This percentage is taken from your listed rate on your profile.
For example if your rate for a 1 to 1 training session (1 hour) is £30, your earnings will be £24.
Coachability Partnership Agreement
In order to provide a great experience for Coachability clients, we require coaches to:
Reply to client messages within 48 hrs
Respond to Booking Requests within 24 hours ("Accept" or "Decline")
Contact clients promptly upon confirmation of booking
Show up on time (or early) for scheduled sessions
Come to session prepared with all necessary equipment
Maintain active communication with clients who have booked sessions
Keep availability and location up to date
Provide clients with at least 24 hours notice in the event of a cancellation
For the safety and integrity of our community, we do not allow:
Exchange of contact information before a booking takes place
Accepting payment from Coachability clients outside of the Coachability platform
Encouraging Coachability clients to book sessions with you outside of Coachability
Marking training sessions complete that have not taken place
Unprofessional communication or behaviour
Falsification of personal information
Providing a client experience that falls short of Coachability standards
Any coach who fails to comply with the above requirements will be subject to their Coachability account being placed on hold and unable to accept new clients.
We enforce our Guidelines and Expectations to ensure that all Coachability clients receive a great experience and to maintain the integrity of our community.These Coach Guidelines are also incorporated into our Terms of Service, available here.
My clients want to pay me in cash. What should I do?
Even though clients are made aware that they are required to book their training sessions with you through the Coachability platform, you might still occasionally be asked by a client how they should pay - or how you prefer to be paid.
As part of our partnership agreement, you’ve agreed to book and schedule all training sessions with Coachability clients through Coachability. In situations like this, we find that simple communication works best; explaining how and why a client should book one of your training packages will usually be all you need to do.
